
Re-reading content or study material may give you a feeling that you know the content but you don’t, you just get familiar with the content with a false impression of learning. You might feel that you understand some content or material really well, but in reality, your brain is simply responding to the fact that it's seen this exact material or content before. Often, we are fooled into thinking that we understand something because the terms or the concept sounds familiar.

While watching a movie or a saas-bahu serial or a daily soap do you pre-empt the next plot or the dialogues? And how many times do you get these guesses correctly? While writing an exam paper why do feel that you know the answer to the question but can’t recall it?
